Age of Conan Cross-Platform Support; Early Access Sold Out
an excerpt from their
Age of
Conan Q&A with Funcom's Jorgen Tharaldsen revealing that owners of the PC
and Xbox 360 editions of Age of Conan should be able to play online in
the barbaric MMORPG together. On a separate AoC-related note,
Age Of Conan Vault
(thanks
Voodoo Extreme) has word that the
AoC Community
Forum has word that the "early access" program for the game has sold out.
Going back to the first point about cross-platform play, Funcom's Tharaldsen
mentions they are exploring the possibilities of a PS3 edition of the game,
saying this about PC/console gaming: "We want them to be able to play
with their PC friends if they like to," he said. "It's not a forced thing but we
would like that to happen. But obviously the control mechanism, the
communication, all this is stuff we are solving on a daily basis. The patching,
the install, the footprint, the payment, the servers, the customer service...
it's a challenge. But we will get there eventually."
