Vivendi/Activision Approved
EU approves Vivendi purchase of Activision (thanks Mike Martinez) has news that the
Vivendi/Activision merger/purchase (story) has met with approval
from The European Commission, who did not deem the deal a danger to fair
competition. As the article states: "The merged company would still face stiff
competition from rivals such as Electronic Arts and game console manufacturers
such as Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft."
