Ships Ahoy - Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut
in US stores, offering four missions not found in the console version of the
stealth game: SAN FRANCISCO – April 8, 2008 – Today Ubisoft, one of the
world's largest video game publishers, announced that Assassin's Creed(TM)
Director's Cut for PC is now available at retailers nationwide at the MSRP of
$49.99. It is rated "M” for Mature by the ESRB.
Assassin's Creed Director's Cut for PC looks to follow the success of the
critically acclaimed and worldwide console hit, Assassin's Creed, which has sold
more than five million copies worldwide since launch. PC players will experience
four brand-new exclusive types of investigation missions, providing even more
ways for players to explore the various locations of the Third Crusade. Players
will assume the role of the main character, Altair, whose purpose is to stop
hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict while learning the art of
becoming a master assassin.
The four new investigation missions are an addition to the five original ones
found in the console version; meaning, players will never have to complete the
same (investigation) mission twice before moving on to assassinate their next
target.
Rooftop Race Challenge: Upon meeting an informer, the player will have a set
amount of time to reach a second informer. The reward for reaching the second
informer on time will be information on the mission target.
Archer Stealth Assassination Challenge: The player will need to assassinate all
archers, without being seen, in a certain zone to help other assassins carry out
their missions.
Merchant Stand Destruction Challenge: An informer requires the player to break a
set number of merchant stands. The merchants have ties to Altair's target and
their activities must be stopped.
Escort Challenge: The player needs to securely escort a fellow Assassin from
point A to point B.
