F.E.A.R. 2: Refused AU Classification
Games On Net reports that Monolith's horror/shooter sequel is the latest
game to be refused classification in Australia, where they do not have a rating
to allow games to be sold to adults only. They point out this is the fifth game
to be refused classification this year, as Shellshock 2: Blood Trails,
Silent Hill: Homecoming, Dark Sector, and Fallout 3, have all
run afoul of the Aussie OFLC, though the latter two games are now available down
under after being censored. On a partly related note, a new "ask the developers"
movie for F.E.A.R. 2 is available, offering narrated gameplay footage and even a
vomit cam (this one may be banned in the AU too). This movie can be found on
ActionTrip,
FileFront, Gamer's Hell,
and
MyGameTrailers.
