AoE Ranger's Guide

A lot of people have been asking about ranger specifics. Since I have been answering them, I thought I just might as well make a guide for it. I know Zeir made a guide, but seeing how he got a few facts wrong (sorry, but its true...) and rangers got a lot better since v7, I think its not wrong to remake that guide.

This guide wont (at least now) contain any pictures, since a picture doesnt really help you catch a fact better.

Also, this guide does not contain information about how to get an acrobat to level 60.

If you are new to FlyFF, and want to play a bow user, chances are that you want to be a bow jester. If you are not sure if you should pick ranger or bow jester, my advice is to pick bow jester, since its much easier to play. If, however, you are not new to the game and have set your mind on making a ranger, then this guide should provide you with useful information.

The major difference between a ranger and other AoE classes is the strong emphasis on block rate. As I will explain in the builds section, rangers can discard almost all concerns for maximum HP and defense rate, if the block rate is right.

I base this guide on my personal experience with my ranger, which was a 70 sta build until lvl 75 when i restatted to full dex. Since lvl 91, however, i started adding sta. Recently, I finally reached lvl 105
