Far Cry 3: Not Out of Africa
Videogaming247 reports on plans for a third installment in the Far Cry
series, even as Ubisoft finishes up work on Far Cry 2. Speaking with
Ubisoft Montreal's Patrick Redding at the recently completed
Leipzig GCDC they learned the third Far Cry
game is already in the planning stages, and that they have "a commitment to the
African setting" of Far Cry 2. He says their engine is flexible enough to depict
virtiually any setiing, but they would probably continue to explore the African
setting because the "exotic, dangerous environment" fit the "Far Cry brand," not
to mention all the African art assets they have already created.
