Call of Duty 6 in 2009

Kotaku reports plans for another Call of Duty game in 2009 beyond Treyarch's
upcoming Call of Duty: World At War, which is due later this year. This
is based on a revelation during a conference call following Activision
Blizzard's latest financial report where CEO Bobby Kotick said the sixth CoD
game would be released in 2009 because they will "leapfrog" studios, which
suggests that CoD4 developer Infinity Ward will be handling this title. Kotaku
mentions a rumor that IW is working on a science-fiction shooter, and speculate
whether CoD 6 will be fought with ray guns, though it was also recently reported
the developer is cultivating an entirely new intellectual property
(story).
