Valve officially announces plans for a retail release of the three individual
new games from The Orange Box. Some details of the plan differ from the first
reports on this (
story), as the prices in the earlier story were
reversed (Portal will be $19.99 and TF2 and Episode 2 are $29.99 each - which
show in the original story now, we're not sure if they were changed after the
fact or if we got them wrong initially), and the April 9 street date is for the
US only, with a release in other territories planned for April 11. Also the
Episode Two package will include Episode One, and as with the Orange Box, users
who end up owning more than one copy of one of these games can "gift" a copy to
someone via
Steam. Word is: "All three packages include support for Steamworks
achievements, automatic updates and more, and do not require Half-Life 2 to
